About karen & dave

 We are Karen Somesla and Dave Jacobson. We met in the early 1960's and have been working together in this business for over 35 years. Far from our respective backgrounds in  graphic arts and social work, we found something uniquely appealing about this largely unrecognized form of art and started collecting and then dealing rugs as we became more and more involved.

The quality and integrity of a fine old oriental carpet cannot be matched by any other floor covering. It rises above the trends and becomes the soul of the room. 

We have been working with high profile clients for most of our careers and finally decided it was time to bring our business online!
